How the DockQuit app and this website handle information.
Last updated: 2026-11-08
Scope
This page describes the DockQuit Mac app separately from dockquit.heino.top. The website serves the disk image. If payments or other processing are added, this page will be updated when they are introduced.
The DockQuit app
The current app requires no account and makes no telemetry, server, or network requests.
To identify the app under your pointer, DockQuit reads Accessibility metadata from Dock icons on your Mac, including position, role, and application URL, and matches it to running processes.
It does not read window contents, capture screenshots, record keystrokes, or persist mouse trajectories or app usage history.
Local information
Local preferences contain the two quit-method switches and onboarding status. Launch at login is managed by macOS and is off by default. The latest operation result stays in memory and is cleared when DockQuit quits.
System permissions
Accessibility is used to identify Dock items and handle mouse actions. Where macOS requires it, Input Monitoring is used for standard middle-mouse events. Screen Recording, Full Disk Access, and Automation permissions are not required.
You can revoke permissions in System Settings at any time. The corresponding functions will then stop working.
This website
The website serves the disk image. It has no account registration, checkout, subscriptions, or email form. No advertising, third-party analytics, or live-chat scripts are enabled. Requests for the disk image pass through the website host.
The Dock demonstration changes only its own webpage state. It cannot read or control apps running on your device. Images and fonts are served with the website.
Language and appearance preferences may be stored in browser cookies or local storage. The hosting provider may process IP addresses, browser information, and request logs to deliver and operate the website. This is separate from the local Mac app.
Your choices
You can clear website data in your browser, revoke app permissions, or uninstall DockQuit. See the getting started guide for details.
